Theme and Visuals

The designers and developers at NetEnt conducted intensive research to find the gorgeous elements that would resemble the fictional city of gold – Eldorado. And they successfully created the right atmosphere and made their main character, Gonzo, very famous amongst all the gamblers.

The background image depicts a marvelous legendary golden temple artwork, which is the ultimate goal for all the Canadian players that embark on this adventure. The frame of the gameboard is ornated with statues of the Aztec gods and has Gonzo in the spotlight cheering for you and becoming happier with every success you have. The animations are smooth and blend in with the progressive sound effects that increase in tempo as you win, which adds to the dynamism of the game.

We also recommend you try WMS’ recently released online slot Montezuma. This also comes with a special atmosphere and legendary characters you will definitely love from the beginning.

Symbols

The symbols of this free online slot machine are represented by Aztec symbols and golden coins that are complementary to the theme. There are two sets of icons. The first one has four high win symbols, all representing a statue of the face of an ancient Aztec god:

• 5 Grey icons pay you 2500 coins;
• 5 Green icons pay 1000 coins;
• 5 Yellow icons will pay you 500 coins;
• 5 Purple icons will pay 200 coins.

The 3 low-win symbols, which are expressed by three statues of animals, will pay 100, 75 or 50 if you match 5 of the same on adjacent reels, starting from left to right.

Gameplay

Leaving aside the great animation and progressive sound effects, that fit the quest to Eldorado theme incredibly well, Gonzo’s Quest free online slot has a special gameplay. Forget about the classic reel spinning and embrace the new Avalanche feature.

This means the symbols will fall on the reels individually from above and when you hit a winning line combination, they will explode in a very entertaining way and more symbols will fall to fill the gaps. Additional wins are multiplied and once you received your rewards, all the icons will go away and 15 new ones will appear. This gameplay feature increases your chance to win more and, even though it might seem like it will slow you down, it will add more dynamism, as falls happen very fast.
