BonusTips compares online casino bonuses for players in Canada. This page sets out the limits of that information: what we check, what we cannot promise and where responsibility for your choices lies. It forms part of our terms and conditions.

Who publishes BonusTips

bonustips.org is published by Dunewright Studios DMCC, Almas Tower, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, PO Box 48800. Dunewright Studios DMCC runs an information website. It is not a casino, a sportsbook or a payment service, it does not hold a gambling licence and it does not need one to publish reviews and comparisons. Any licence mentioned on our pages belongs to a casino operator or a game studio.

Information, not advice

Our reviews, bonus tables, guides and news are general information for adults. Treat it as general information; it is no substitute for financial, legal or tax advice, and your own circumstances are not factored in. Nothing on the site is an invitation to gamble or a promise that you will win. Casino games are built with a house edge, and no bonus, betting system or strategy removes it.

Gambling law in Canada differs by province

Canada has no single national online casino licence. Each province decides how online gambling is offered to its residents. Private operators in Ontario work under an agreement with iGaming Ontario once the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has registered them. In Alberta, the regulator is Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC). In the other provinces and territories, legal online gambling is offered through the provincial lottery corporation's own site.

Many casinos we describe are licensed outside Canada. A listing on BonusTips does not mean that a casino is registered or authorised in your province. Casino bonus offers are not advertised to players in Ontario, and offers on this site are aimed at players outside Ontario. You are responsible for checking the rules that apply where you live before you open an account.

Age limits

The site is intended for adults aged 19 or over (18 or over in Alberta, Manitoba and Québec). If you are younger than the legal age in your province, please leave the site. Casinos verify age and identity, usually before the first withdrawal, and can close an account and void winnings when the checks fail.

How to read a bonus on our pages

A headline such as "100% up to C$1,000 + 100 free spins" is only part of an offer. The conditions decide its value: the wagering requirement and whether it applies to the bonus alone or to the deposit as well, the maximum bet while wagering, which games count and at what rate, how long you have to complete it, the minimum deposit, payment methods that are excluded and any cap on what you can withdraw. We put these conditions next to the headline as the casino publishes them. If the casino's own terms differ from our page, the casino's terms apply. Read them in full before you deposit or accept a bonus.

Dates and archived offers

Casinos change their promotions often, sometimes several times a month. Every offer page shows when it was listed, and older promotions stay on the site as an archive with a note that they may no longer be available. An archived bonus is a record, not an offer you can expect to claim. Between a change at the casino and our next check, a difference between our page and the casino's is possible.

Payment methods

What we write about Interac, iDebit, Instadebit, cards, e-wallets and cryptocurrency reflects what casinos and payment providers publish. Fees, processing times, limits and availability depend on the casino, your bank and the provider, and can change without notice. Some Canadian banks block transactions with gambling sites. BonusTips never handles your money and cannot trace, cancel or refund a payment.

Games, RTP and free slots

Return-to-player percentages, volatility and feature descriptions come from game studios and casinos. As an average taken across a huge number of rounds, RTP says nothing certain about any single session, and one slot may ship with several RTP settings. The free slots on our site are demo versions supplied by the studios: they use play money, and their results do not predict real-money play.

Ratings are opinions

Scores and rankings on BonusTips are our editorial view of an offer or a casino at the time of writing, based on the conditions it publishes. Two players can value the same bonus differently, and a casino can change after we rate it.

Every button routed through a /go/ address is an affiliate link, and so are many other casino links here. Should you sign up with a casino that way, it may pay this site a commission. You pay nothing extra. How this works, and what it does not change, is explained on how we make money.

Casinos and other websites

When you follow a link, you leave BonusTips and the other website's terms and privacy policy apply. Casinos are not ours to control, and neither are their content, their security, how they rule on accounts and bonuses or how long their payouts take. A dispute about an account is between you and the casino: use its complaints process first, then the body that licenses it.

Winnings and tax

We do not give tax advice. If you have a question about tax on gambling winnings, ask the Canada Revenue Agency or a qualified adviser about your own situation.

Names and logos

Casino names, logos, game titles and screenshots belong to their owners. They appear on BonusTips only to identify the products we write about, and their use does not mean the owners endorse or sponsor the site.

Limitation of liability

We work to keep the site accurate and correct mistakes when we find them or readers report them, but we provide BonusTips "as is" and cannot promise that every page is complete and current at all times or that the site is always available. To the extent the law allows, Dunewright Studios DMCC is not liable for losses arising from the use of the site or reliance on its content, including money lost gambling, bonuses refused or voided, accounts closed or withdrawals delayed. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be excluded under the law of your province.

If gambling stops being fun

Decide on a budget and a time limit before you play, use the deposit limits and time-outs casinos offer, and never chase losses. If gambling is causing problems for you or someone close to you, ConnexOntario offers free, confidential support around the clock at 1-866-531-2600. Our responsible gambling page lists further tools and organisations.

Changes to this disclaimer

A change in the site or in the law prompts an update of this page. Its present version is dated above.
