Theme and Visuals

The iGaming industry draws a lot of inspiration from the mysterious Ancient Egypt. While it is among the most popular game themes, not many game providers successfully manage to emulate its vibe in an original matter. While at first Book of Ba slot might seem like a knock-off of the famous Book of Ra Deluxe created by Novomatic, there are some differences. It turns out that tomes were sacred symbols of Ancient Egyptian gods and finding them is said to be the key to endless riches and access to the afterlife.

The background image illustrates the sanctuary of soul goddess Ba, where she can open the dark gates to the Netherworld. The gameboard is decorated with Egyptian elements and the icons are beautifully placed on sand blocks. The colour palette was very well chosen because it is easy to distinguish the symbols. Additionally, the contrast between the background and the gameboard makes the whole image clear.

The magical sound effects together with the smooth cascading reels animations complete the picture of a realm between the world of the dead and the living.

Symbols

The symbols used in this free online slot machine fit the theme perfectly. They are divided into two sets. The high win icons are represented by elements from Ancient Egypt:

• 5 Ba will pay 500x your stake;
• 5 Eye of Ba will bring you 200x your bet;
• 5 Ankh will pay 75x your stake;
• 5 Beetle will also pay 75x your bet.

The low win icons are represented by the card ranks 10 to A with a hieroglyphical design. For a combination of 5 identical symbols, they will pay:

• “10”, “J”, and “Q” – 10x;
• “A” and “K” – 15x.

Gameplay

Aside from the stunning visuals, this free online slot also comes with an impressive gameplay. It has a classic 5 reels, 3 rows, and 9 fixed paylines board configuration with Shatter Mode. Essentially, whenever you land a winning combination, those symbols will explode and new will fall to replace them. Every time you get a shatter, your multiplier is increased, up to a maximum of 4x.
