Theme and Visuals

The barbarians from Scandinavia have inspired many game designers and developers. However, most of them failed to emulate the atmosphere of the Norsemen. But Barbarian Fury slot definitely stands out from the crowd.

The choice of visual and audio effects suits the theme perfectly. This slot successfully takes you back to the days of the nomads through its amazing decorative elements. A blizzard pours over the background which illustrates a forest, the usual barbarians’ hideouts. The gameboard frame is made of stone, which is guarded by some skulls, which were part of a worship ritual dedicated to their gods.

Animations are really impressive and make the game more dynamic. When you land the wild symbol, the bear roars outside of the reel and it creates a 3D effect. The sound effect of the reels dropping is similar to a sword hitting a shield and there is also a progressive sound effect that occurs whenever you hit a bonus icon. The great theme song adds a lot to the atmosphere of Barbarian Fury free online slot.

Another amazing title that takes you on an adventure at sea is Vikings, released by NetEnt. Vikings share many similarities to the barbarians, but they are known for their raids and trades they made all around Europe.

Symbols

The symbols chosen for this free online slot complement the theme perfectly. The low-paying icons are represented by card ranks from 10 to A with a shield design and 5 of a kind will bring you 375, 300 or 250 coins.

The high-win icons are represented by three fierce barbarian warriors and they pop up as 4-stack symbols:

• 5 Barbarian king symbols will pay you 1250 coins;
• 5 Shieldmaiden symbols will bring you 750 coins;
• 5 Warrior symbols bring you 500 coins.

Gameplay

The amazing graphics and sound effects are not everything Barbarian Fury slot has to offer. The 5 reel, 4 rows, and 25 paylines, together with the high-volatility, unique gameplay and features are exactly what you need for a lucrative gambling session.

Whenever you hit three identical stacked symbols, you get a Barbarian Respin, which grants you a second chance that can result in some great winnings, especially if you also hit a wild multiplier during the re-spin.

How to Play

Special Features

This is where Barbarian Fury slot outshines its competition. This amazing title comes with four special features that will highly improve your gambling experience:

1. xNudge Roaring Wild – the wild roaring bear symbol can appear on reels 2 3 or 4 and it comes in stacks of four. When it lands, it’s always nudged and it will take over the entire reel. This special symbol comes with a multiplier attached, which starts at x1 and increases by 1 with every nudge, up to a maximum of x4. If more roaring wilds appear during the same spin, the multiplier will be added together to the winnings.
2. Fury Spins – find three or more Wolf Scatters anywhere on the board and you will trigger the free spins bonus round. The scatter symbols will be nudged one position at a time until they disappear from the play area. Each of these nudges gives you an extra free spin, up to 4 rounds per wolf icon. During the bonus free spins round, the wild multipliers no longer reset after the spin but are rather cumulated, which could result in huge payouts. Additional scatter symbols that land during this feature will continue to nudge and give you extra spins.
3. Buy Bonus Round Feature – if you want to jump right in the bonus game action, you can do so by paying 70 times your bet and the next spin is guaranteed to land at least three scatter symbols. However, they will drop at random positions, meaning you won’t know how many free spins you will get.
