Theme and Visuals

Aurora has a dazzling background set in a forest, in the middle of the mountains. While it may appear similar to Microgaming’s Aurora Wilds for various reasons, Northern Lights Gaming’s slot is different in multiple ways.

The background artwork is modern-looking, displaying tall trees, a magical-glistening river and beaming fireflies, under the mystic full moon and Northern Lights.

The Aurora logo can be found on your screen’s top centre, next to Balance and Total Win. The stake is available in the middle left, while Settings, Play and Autoplay button on the right side.

The game’s logo, the troll wilds, the 4 idols and Royals of 4 types bring some light into the game’s theme, complemented with a mysterious, adventurous background sound.

The aurora wind will come across your reels on your losing spin, as a special animation and might change your tiles for the better.

If you thought it couldn’t get any better, play Aurora slot for free to encounter special visual effects, including numerous 3D and high-end animations, offering the most astonishing gaming session!

Gameplay

In addition to impressive visuals, this online slot machine comes with a classic setup of 5 reels by 3 rows, 30 paylines and a maximum win of 736x, paying from left to right.

The slot is of low volatility. The symbols of regular, wilds, rounds and the Troll’s role are lifting the slot to never-before-seen heights.

The Wild symbol is making the other work in sequence. The “W” logo can be easily used to combine regular symbols and replace the lower icons to make the required combo. The W symbols will also make combinations to stack up to 5 times, delivering a mega reward. After covering 3 reels, the next appearing Wild will offer the options of spins. While running your rounds, the reels will move to both sides left-right, right-left, to release more rounds.

Special Features

We can all agree that Northern Lights Gaming has done an excellent job with the Aurora slot so far, but adding these special features makes it even better. Once you venture into the game, you shall find 2 astonishing features:

• Random Bonus

Within the gambling world, a loss may occur from time to time and the Aurora slot is taking care of that aspect. On any non-winning spin, the wind might travel across the reels from left to right, causing the reel symbols to rotate individually. On the flip side of each symbol is a Wild that can land at the end of the random bonus. Landing a stack of wilds shall trigger the main feature.

• Free Spins

The rounds are triggered by landing three stacked wild symbols trough the Random Bonus or by landing the troll in full view on the third reel, causing him to awaken and start the free spins bonus. On each free spin, the troll will step away from the centre reel in one direction or divide in two. More trolls can appear on the centre reel and the rounds only end when all trolls have left to the right or left side. The free rounds are played with the same bet as the round that activated the bonus.

Conclusion

Due to the presence of reliable functions and features, the slot is considered excellent for the casual casino players. Aurora is a captivating slot with remarkable visuals and intuitive gameplay, perfect for any type of punter. Mountain trolls and supernatural deeds await to deliver an otherworldly experience for the bravest of the brave! If you are up for the challenge, play the Aurora slot for free now!
